Plan and prep. Choose your colour scheme and your product. If you would like to replicate the design we have featured in this project, simply refer to list above. This tutorial will assume you’ve selected these items.
Frame creation. Grab a piece if bristol board, and cut our a 4”x6” to rectangle with your utility knife.
Frame decoration. Begin at one end of the frame and line a strip of Scotch® Expressions Washi Tape, Green/White Swiss Dot along the bottom edge of the frame. Use your utility knife to trim the edge at the edge of frame. Continue the pattern by applying Scotch® Expressions Washi Tape, Blue next, followed by Scotch® Expressions Washi Tape, Pink Quatrefoil and then Scotch® Scotch® Expressions Washi Tape, Cracked. Continue this pattern until entire frame is covered.
Frame trimming. Be sure to clean up your frame by trimming any excess tape around the edges by using your Utility knife or Scotch® 8″ Precision Stainless Steel Scissors (if you’re with your kids).
Embellishments. Now it’s time to add stickers or other adornments to the frame! Grab whatever items and adhere them to your frame. For this example, we spelled “F-A-M-I-L-Y” by using stickers, and also added our owl embellishments.
EXPERT TIP: Have fun with embellishments! You can find some neat items that work for your home’s colour scheme, so be creative.
